Edit Store Content
Malovex fills your products with titles, descriptions, and attributes drawn from your suppliers and enrichment sources. Edit store content lets you change any of it for your own stores — to fix a description, translate content for a locale, or correct an attribute value. Your changes always take priority over the source data.
Open it with Edit store content on any product’s page in My Products.
The content editor
Section titled “The content editor”Editing content opens a tabbed editor. What you change on each tab is saved and applied to your store export automatically.
The Base tab holds the product’s title and description in your account’s default language. Leave a field blank to use the product’s original (master) value; fill it in to replace that value across your stores.
There’s a tab for each of your store locales. Enter a title and description for that language; leave a field blank to fall back to the base content.
Translations are account-wide: a translation you enter for a locale shows on every store of yours that sells in that locale, so you translate a product once rather than store by store.
The Attribute overrides tab lets you correct any attribute value for your stores. Add an override, pick the attribute, and enter your value. Clearing your value removes the override and restores the inherited value.
Each override can optionally be flagged Suggest as a global fix — see below.
How overrides win
Section titled “How overrides win”Malovex resolves each value from several layers. Your override sits at the top:
- Your override (what you enter here) — always wins.
- A global fix — a correction the Malovex team has applied for everyone.
- The product’s sources — supplier and enrichment data.
So anything you set in Edit store content takes precedence over both global fixes and the original source data. On the product page, a badge shows which layer each value came from — overridden locally for your own overrides, global fix for a shared correction.
Suggesting a global fix
Section titled “Suggesting a global fix”When you spot an attribute value that’s wrong for everyone — not just your store — you can tick Suggest as a global fix on the override. This sends your correction to the Malovex team for review. If it’s accepted, it becomes a global fix that benefits every customer. Your local override stays in force in the meantime, so your store is correct straight away regardless of the review outcome.
How much content you can customise
Section titled “How much content you can customise”Each product you customise for a store counts toward your plan’s customisation allowance:
| Plan | Product customisations |
|---|---|
| Starter | 100 |
| Pro | 1,000 |
| Enterprise | 100,000 |
If your plan’s allowance is used up, Edit store content is unavailable until you free some up or upgrade.
Editing the SKU
Section titled “Editing the SKU”Titles, descriptions, and attributes are handled here; the export SKU is edited separately with Edit SKU on the product page. See My Products and SKU Patterns.
